The Venue: Orchard View Wedding & Event Centre
Orchard View Wedding & Event Centre, located just outside of Ottawa, is renowned for its picturesque landscapes and versatile event spaces. Steph and Nic chose this venue for its stunning views, beautiful gardens, and the tranquil lake that added a serene touch to their special day. The fall colors were in full display, making every photo a masterpiece.
Getting Ready
The day started with the bridal party getting ready upstairs in Orchard View's elegant bridal suite. Steph was surrounded by her closest gal pals, who helped her get ready. Outside, under the pergola, the boys touched up their looks with boutonnieres. Nic's mom helped him with his, and Nic assisted his best man with his. Steph surprised Nic with a little gift that had him chuckling, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the morning. Steph's mom helped do up the buttons on her dress, and after sharing some champagne with the girls, they headed downstairs to the ceremony.

The Ceremony
Steph's dad walked her down the aisle, where she and Nic had a wonderful ceremony. The heartfelt exchange of vows under a rustic arch adorned with seasonal flowers, set against a backdrop of vibrant fall foliage, was nothing short of magical. After signing their license, they walked down the aisle as newlyweds and shared a kiss in front of all their loved ones. The serene lake and surrounding trees provided the perfect setting for capturing these unforgettable moments.
Cocktail Hour and Photos
During cocktail hour, we took family and guest photos with the beautiful backdrop of the lake and fall foliage. We then moved to the lovely lake island for wedding party photos. Nic and Steph had some time alone to soak everything in and capture couple photos that reflected their love and joy.
The Reception
The reception took place in Orchard View's spacious event hall, beautifully decorated with rustic-chic decor. Warm lighting, and elegant floral arrangements created a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The evening was filled with delicious food, and a lively dance floor where guests danced the night away.
As the sun began to set, Nic and Steph shared a slow dance under the incredible sunset, a moment of pure romance and beauty. The night ended with formal dances and the cutting of their cake, surrounded by the love and laughter of family and friends.
