Their Love Story
Mélany and Nick's love story began in middle school when they first met and started talking a year later. They began dating in 9th grade, and like many young romances, they went through their fair share of ups and downs. They dated, broke up, got back together, broke up again, and eventually found their way back to each other for good.
Their love story took a significant turn when they attended a performance of Hamilton in Ottawa. On the way back home, Nick surprised Mélany with a heartfelt proposal, marking the beginning of their journey to marriage. Their shared love for shows and theater was evident in their wedding program, which Mélany creatively designed to resemble a Playbill. This unique touch added a layer of personal significance to their special day, reflecting their passions and the journey they have taken together.

Mélany and Nick's wedding day started at The Westin, offering breathtaking views of Parliament Hill and the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. Mélany was surrounded by her mom and bridal party, who helped her get dressed. The atmosphere was filled with joy and anticipation as they prepared for the special day.
First Look and Wedding Party Photos
The first look took place in the Confederation Tunnel, providing a sheltered spot amidst the rainy weather. Mélany and Nick shared an emotional moment, setting the tone for the rest of the day. Despite the rain, the couple and their wedding party made their way to Sidedoor Restaurant, capturing some stunning photos along the way.
Ceremony at Sidedoor
Once inside Sidedoor, the intimate ceremony was officiated by Natalie Joy Quesnel from All Seasons Weddings. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant provided the perfect backdrop as Mélany and Nick exchanged heartfelt vows. The ceremony was filled with tears of joy, creating a memorable moment for everyone present.
Cocktail Hour with Live Music
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the restaurant, which was exclusively reserved for the wedding. As the rain subsided, the couple took the opportunity to sneak out for some photos at the Chateau Laurier.
